On September 29, 2025, Julian Brown, a 22-year-old inventor from Duluth, Georgia, developed a project called Plastoline, which he says transforms plastic waste into liquid fuel. Brown began exploring this concept during high school and has since built several experimental prototypes.
The method he describes uses microwave pyrolysis, in which plastic is heated in a low-oxygen environment until it v***rizes. The v***r is then condensed into a liquid, which Brown says can be refined into fuels such as gasoline, diesel, or jet fuel.
He has publicly demonstrated the process, showing how fuel can be produced from plastic. As of 2025, Plastoline remains in development, and Brown has not reported any commercial-scale use. The project focuses on small-scale innovation and experimentation rather than industrial application.
