A Home Shaped by “Kaname-kabe” — the Key Walls
This home is defined by two kaname-kabe (key structural walls) that create gentle connections and moments of spatial shift throughout the plan.
At the centre sits a stainless-steel kitchen, anchored by walnut feature walls, wool carpet, and a concrete floor. Each material was chosen for its texture and presence, and carefully balanced so they harmonise rather than compete.
A quiet, refined home where subtle materials and thoughtful structure speak for themselves. More than form alone, it’s an architecture where the framework of daily life and the character of each material come together as one.
The owner designed the home themselves.
