Your contribution helped us deepen our understanding of Filipino Sign Language, Deaf culture, and the importance of making communication accessible to Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals.

Filipino Sign Language (FSL) is a visual-spatial language that is shared by members of the Filipino Deaf community, and is shaped by their unique experiences and culture. It has its own distinct word order, vocabulary, and even grammar rules. Subtle differences in hand position or facial expression can make all the difference in conveying depth and nuance.

As a visual language, it relies heavily on vivid imagery and concepts to bring meaning to life. So, can our Iskonars guess some FSL terms on their very first try? Watch the video to find out! 👀
