Oh well, this popped up today! I can't believe its been that long and i can now say, without thinking too long, that i have about a decade under my belt. It was never easy, as i am a slow learner and it never made a lot of money, but i met some of the nicest and kindest people along the way. I am entirely grateful to be entrusted with some blades that would start a family drama if the spouse knew about their price 🤣

Personally, i like to work on more affordable knives, because having cold sweat running down my back in case of a mishap, is not the nicest feeling in the world.

However, a guy named Ray Mears once said "a job worth doing, is a job worth doing well". And this has been my credo for this whole operation ever since.

Japanese blades chip easily, when abused, but due to their high hardness and steel type, they usually hold an edge for much lonnger than western blades. Due to the lack of a bolster, they are also far easier to repair.
