Neste Outubro Rosa, o mundo une-se em torno da sensibilização para o cancro da mama e da importância do diagnóstico precoce. Aqui, a equipa juntou-se para dar visibilidade a esta causa.

In Swiss turning, where small, slender workpieces are more prone to deflection and vibration, FSF’s low cutting pressure and reduced radial forces help limit deflection and maintain dimensional accuracy.

Recently, Palbit received its 5th CemeCon AG coating system, and it happens to be the 500th machine CemeCon has installed worldwide, as they mark 40 years of their own history.

The moment reflects more than 20 years of partnership, during which Palbit has continuously expanded its in-house coating capacity. From its first CC800®HiPIMS turnkey system in 2016 to five systems running today, coating technology has become an increasingly important part of our manufacturing capabilities.

Congratulations to CemeCon on reaching this milestone, and thank you for two decades of trusted collaboration. 🤝

Yesterday, at 𝗙𝗘𝗨𝗣 - Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto-, we marked the kick-off of 𝗠𝗔𝗖𝗛30, a new project led by 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗯𝗶𝘁!

𝗠𝗔𝗖𝗛30 brings together industry, academia and technology partners to advance precision machining through new materials, technologies and digital solutions.

We were especially pleased to welcome Alexandra Vilela, President of the Managing Committee of COMPETE 2030, whose presence reinforced the significance of this milestone and the shared commitment to innovation and industrial competitiveness.

The kick-off set the foundations for the work ahead, aligning the consortium around the project's vision and objectives.

A special thank you to 𝗙𝗘𝗨𝗣, all 𝗠𝗔𝗖𝗛30 partners, speakers and participants who contributed to this first milestone. Now, the work begins! ⚙️

Palbit was present at the 20th International Conference on Plasma Surface Engineering (PSE 2026), held in Erfurt, Germany.

PSE brought together researchers and industry experts from around the world to discuss the latest advances in surface, plasma and vacuum technologies, with this year's conference focusing on "Surface engineering for clean energy solutions."

Palbit contributed by sharing our work on advanced coatings for cutting tools applications, including insights from our developments in the SNext and MACH30 projects, and exhibited at stand 49, within the Iberia joint booth, in the year Portugal and Spain were partner country.

It was a great opportunity to exchange ideas, explore new perspectives and discuss where surface engineering is heading next. Thank you to the organisers for the conference, and a special word to Prof. Sandra Carvalho and Prof. Albano Cavaleiro.

For 110 years, every milestone we've reached carries a little of their story: their dedication, their knowledge, their hands.

𝟭𝟭𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝙋𝙖𝙡𝙗𝙞𝙩 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺?

Our journey began in 1916 in Palhal, under the name 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘴 𝘦 𝘔𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘳𝘨𝘪𝘢, with mining operations at its core. Over time, that expertise expanded into the rock tools business, and almost 50 years later, the integration of production lines for tungsten powders and carbide blends laid the foundation for what would become our cutting tools business.

That's when the 𝘗𝘢𝘭𝘣𝘪𝘵 name emerged, to eternalize our origin.
▪ 𝗣𝗮𝗹, from Palhal, the place where it all started.
▪ 𝗕𝗶𝘁, from the mining tools, that shaped us from the start.

This year, we celebrate 110 years, a milestone that honors our past and drives us forward, committed to push the boundaries of manufacturing through continuous innovation.

On this anniversary, we want to bring you more of our journey, our culture, and the people who've been part of our history. Stay tuned!
