PT | O LNEC vai receber a 5.ª Conferência Internacional Dam World (DW2025), um evento de referência na área da engenharia de barragens, de 13 a 17 de abril de 2025.

A Dam World Conference 2025 conta com quatro eventos paralelos (três cursos e um workshop) focados na formação especializada de profissionais da engenharia de barragens e que trarão conhecimento técnico atualizado em áreas essenciais como modelação BIM, reações expansivas no betão ou gestão de riscos de inundação.

O primeiro curso, "BIM Fundamentals Applied to Dam Engineering", vai abordar os conceitos fundamentais da metodologia BIM. O segundo, "Dams Affected by Concrete Swelling Reactions", vai trazer uma visão aprofundada sobre as reações expansivas do betão, e o terceiro curso, "Dam-break Flood Risk Modelling and Emergency Planning", vai destacar a importância dos Planos de Ação de Emergência (PAEs) para barragens de alto risco.

Por fim, o workshop "CDA Tailings Dam Breach Analysis" abordará a análise de rutura de barragens.

LNEC will host The Fifth International Dam World Conference (DW2025), a reference event in the field of dam engineering, from April 13 to 17, 2025.

The Dam World Conference 2025 features four parallel events (three courses and one workshop) focused on specialized training for dam engineering professionals and which will bring updated technical knowledge in essential areas such as BIM modeling, expansive reactions in concrete or flood risk management.

The first course, "BIM Fundamentals Applied to Dam Engineering", will address the fundamental concepts of BIM methodology. The second one, "Dams Affected by Concrete Swelling Reactions," will provide an in-depth look at concrete's expansive reactions, and the third course, "Dam-break Flood Risk Modeling and Emergency Planning", will highlight the importance of Emergency Action Plans (EAPs) for high-hazard dams.

Finally, the workshop "CDA Tailings Dam Breach Analysis" will address dam breach analysis.

Esta conferência, que teve a sua primeira edição em 2012 no Brasil, regressa ao formato presencial após a versão online de 2020, realizada durante a pandemia. Com o tema "Preservar vidas através das barragens", o evento reúne especialistas de todo o mundo para debater desafios, soluções e inovações no setor.

O programa da DW2025 também inclui sessões temáticas, cursos intensivos pré-conferência e debates sobre questões críticas da engenharia de barragens. Além disso, serão organizadas visitas técnicas e culturais, proporcionando uma experiência enriquecedora aos participantes. O evento pretende fomentar a troca de conhecimento e promover o desenvolvimento sustentável nesta área essencial para a segurança hídrica e energética.
