🔎 In semiconductor processes, compressed dry air (CDA) systems, and various process air applications, dew point is commonly used to evaluate the moisture content of air. As a result, many people assume that a lower dew point always indicates better air quality. However, the goal of dew point control is not to achieve the lowest possible value, but to meet the requirements of the application.
💧 Dew point represents the amount of moisture contained in air. The lower the dew point, the drier the air. If the dew point is too high, it may lead to condensation in pipelines, equipment corrosion, or reduced process stability. However, once the required level of dryness has been achieved, further reducing the dew point may not provide additional benefits and can instead increase energy consumption and operating costs.
