If you own a above ground pool with a vinyl liner you need to know this

Yes, ants can chew through vinyl pool liners, creating tiny holes that cause significant water loss. They are generally drawn to the moisture under the liner, especially in dry weather or in above-ground pool sand bases. This, along with termites, can cause damage to the liner.Key Details on Ant Damage:Target: Primarily affects above-ground pools, creating tiny, often numerous holes that appear as leaks.Why: They are attracted to the moisture and create nests in the sand or foam base beneath the liner.Effect: They create small pinholes that can lead to large-scale water loss.Solutions and Prevention:Treatment: Use insecticides around the perimeter of the pool.Prevention: Treat the soil with diatomaceous earth (DE) or other, non-petroleum based insecticides before installing a new liner.Repair: Small holes can sometimes be fixed with a pool liner patch kit, but severe damage often requires replacing the liner.If you are seeing signs of a leak, it is best to inspect the area behind the liner, specifically for signs of nesting.

who would be interested in turning a above ground pool into a backyard renovation for have the price of an in-ground pool. They are doing these in Long Island. I met with the manufacturer company today. Maybe promoting these pools soon
