We want to give a huge shoutout to this sweet custom pond build from this year!

They used our 14” Premium Natural to line the pond edging, act as a seawall, and help stop overgrowth and erosion 👌

Our stone is all tested by engineers, showing an average freeze/thaw rating less than granite 🤯

No worries about stone degradation, spalling, or coming apart when used in ANY climate, application, or elevation 🏔️

On top of it all, American Quarried right here in the Flint Hills of Kansas 🇺🇸

9" Premium Natural.

Nine inches is the thickness, so that is your course height. Bed depth runs 18 to 24 inches back into the hill, giving the stone mass. That is why it is not going anywhere.

Natural face, natural top and bottom. Nothing milled. It came off the ledge looking like that before being split to size.

And every block was worked loose mechanically. We never blast our stone, so there are no shockwaves running through it and no hidden cracks waiting on the first hard freeze.

Look at the top course on this one. It flows with the drive instead of stepping down in chunks. That is more work to build and it is the reason your eye follows the curve instead of catching on it. Talk about craftmanship.

BIG!

That is the size description of our slabs we can pull out of this ledge, and people ask more often than you would think. These are just a few little guys.

That is a 40 ton excavator working it, and the tan face on those slabs is exactly how it came out of the ground. No color added, no coating, nothing. That is just what this stone looks like after a couple hundred million years in Kansas.

From here they get sorted and stacked in the yard, then head to the splitter to get sized into wall block, treads, caps, whatever the order calls for.

We can go small enough to handle easy, or big enough that you need serious iron to move it. If you have a job that calls for something enormous, ask. The answer is usually yes.

Builders Grade Tan, and that is exactly the right call on this job.

Nobody is going to stand in a drainage ditch admiring the joint lines. What this needed was mass, and a lot of it, sitting right where the water runs.

14" Builders Grade down both banks, riprap through the bottom. That channel can run hard all spring and it is not going anywhere.

Buy the premium grade where people will see it. Buy this where the water goes. Smart spec by the contractor here, and a homeowner who decided to fix it once instead of four more times.

This is what 14" Premium Tan looks like when the sun hits it right.

14 inch wall block below, 7 inch step treads climbing the slope. Natural top on the treads so you get the real face of the stone underfoot, sawn bottom so they set level without a fight.

The planting beds are what pull it all together though. Somebody put real thought into this yard and it shows.

Hats off to the crew on this one.

Everybody looks at the face of the stone. What they do not see is the 600 tons of hydraulic pressure it takes to make a face look like that.

Then it goes through the milling operation, and that is the part that saves your crew. Every block comes out holding a quarter inch tolerance on thickness. Same height, block after block, so the courses run true and the joints close up instead of fighting you.

We’ve been getting a lot of questions about our 14" Gray Horizon, so here’s everything you need to know 👇

What is Gray Horizon?
Gray Horizon is our natural gray limestone ledge stone quarried right here in Kansas. It’s clean, consistent, and carries that true Midwestern gray tone all the way through. No artificial coloring. No dye. Just natural stone.

What are the specs?
• 14" tall
• 18–24" bed depth
• 3–7' lengths
• Approximately 1" natural variance
• Roughly 7 square feet per ton
• About 150 linear feet per 24-ton load

These are premium slabs with naturally squared ends, making layout faster and cleaner on engineered walls.

Is the color consistent?
Yes. Gray Horizon runs consistent gray throughout the slab. You’ll see natural movement and character in the face, but it stays within that cool gray profile contractors like for commercial and modern residential builds.

What projects is it best for?
• Large retaining walls
• Tiered engineered walls
• DOT and commercial work
• Modern residential builds
• Projects needing a clean gray finish

It pairs extremely well with concrete, steel, and contemporary architecture.

Is it available now?
Yes. Inventory is ready to ship. We load full semi loads daily and ship nationwide.

If you’re bidding spring or summer work and need reliable supply, this is material you can count on.

We get a lot of questions about our 14" Premium Natural Tan, so here are the answers 👇

Where does it come from?
It’s quarried right here in Kansas. The tan coloring is completely natural — created by mineral deposits formed over thousands of years in the limestone ledge. The interior of the stone is gray, which gives it that classic Midwest limestone strength with a warm, earthy exterior.

What are the specs?
• 14" tall
• 18–24" bed depth
• 3–7' lengths
• Approximately 1" natural variance
• Roughly 7 square feet per ton
• About 150 linear feet per 24-ton load

These are premium-grade slabs with naturally squared ends, making them ideal for engineered retaining walls and large structural projects.

Is it consistent?
Yes. These are hand-selected premium loads. We focus on tight dimensional control so contractors can stack efficiently and confidently.

What’s it good for?
• Retaining walls
• Tiered walls
• Commercial jobs
• Farm and ranch applications
• Large residential projects

If you’re bidding spring projects, we have inventory ready to ship now. No waiting on production delays.

Ready to ship nationwide.
