Established in 1988, Custom Die Services strives to provide the highest quality steel rule dies and diecutting services. In 1996, CDS expanded its services to include laser cutting. Today, we operate four departments: CAD, Cutting, Die and Laser
CAD department is able to provide design work or transform your drawing to make into a die. Utilizing our Impact CAD system, we may also provide our cust
omers with dielines to assist in their artwork designs for their printed materials. Cutting department operate a Tranemo press that boasts a cut area of 44” x 64”. The large cut area is perfect for any large perimeter cutting needs; including cartons, gaskets, game boards or advertising signs. The Die department is where your die gets produced. From pocket folders to the most intricate of designs, our die shop utilizes state of the art tooling and high quality craftsmanship to make each and every die to your exact specifications. Dieboards available are Finnish Birch 1/2” 5/8” 3/4”, Maple 5/8” 3/4” and Rayform 5/8.”
Laser department operates a LaserCut High Power laser for various cutting needs with a accuracy to within .002.” In addition to cutting dieboards for the Die department, the laser has the ability to cut acrylic – up to 1” thick, flat steel plates and steel tubes – up to 3/8” thick, paper stock for carton samples, corrugated plastic and other plastic materials.
