What an incredible turnout today for our Animal Nutrition Ag Learning Day!

A huge thank you to:
• Purina for sending out Matt Pearce and Drew Collier
• Durvet, Inc. for sending Jeff Weatherington
• DeSoto County UF/IFAS Extension with Katelyn Mulinix and Kendall Gill for providing valuable resources and information for our customers and guests
• Mike and Liz’s Dirty Dawgs for keeping our community and employees fed with a great lunch

Most importantly, thank you to our customers and community for coming out, learning with us, and continuing to trust us with your livestock and farm needs throughout the years. Serving this community for over 100 years is something we never take for granted — without you, we wouldn’t still be here today!

We truly appreciate our little town and always enjoy seeing familiar and new faces walk through our doors.

And a special shoutout to our hardworking staff who kept regular business running smoothly while we took up residence in the barns for the event. We couldn’t do it without y’all!

🚜 TODAY at Smith’s Ranch & Garden 🚜
AG Learning Series: Animal Nutrition for Small Farms
📍 10 AM – 1 PM

We are excited to host today’s educational event focused on basic animal nutrition for small farms and homesteads!

🐴🐐🐓 Purina representatives will be on-site presenting basic animal nutrition information for equine, cattle, swine, poultry, and small ruminants.

🌱 UF IFAS Extension Small Farms Agent Kendall Gill will be available to help answer questions, along with DeSoto County Extension Director Katelyn Mulinix

💉 Jeff Weatherington with Durvet will also be here to answer questions regarding veterinary products we carry in-store.

🎟️ We’ll have raffle prizes for attendees throughout the event!

🍩 Breakfast and snack goodies will be available in the store, and customers purchasing Purina products today can grab some Purina freebies while supplies last.

🔥 TODAY ONLY — Select Purina feeds will be discounted in-store from 10 AM until close! Come stock up and see what feeds are marked down.

🌭 Mike & Liz’s Dirty Dawgs food truck will be parked near the brown molasses tanks behind the store.

📍 Event presentations will take place behind the store in the barns.

🚗 Parking is available:
✔️ Near the round hay bales
✔️ Near the lumber yard
✔️ Near the silos (but NOT inside the silo yard)

Please do not block any gates, entrances, or roadways, as we will still be operating during regular business hours.

We can’t wait to see everyone today and answer all your animal nutrition questions!
