🚧 Ashland Cone Zone Update - Rte 1 / S Washington Highway 🚧

Big changes are coming to South Washington Highway!

The Route 1 Widening Project is officially underway. This major upgrade will widen a half-mile stretch of Route 1 between Arbor Oak Drive and Ashcake Road, adding:

✅ New left turn lanes
✅ Raised medians
✅ Sidewalks for improved walkability

These improvements are all about increasing safety and accessibility for drivers and pedestrians alike.

🗓️ Estimated completion: November 2026
👷‍♀️ This project is managed by Virginia Department of Transportation

I’ve always avoided collapsible ladders, mainly because I couldn’t find a brand I trusted.

sent this over and I’ve been testing it around the house.

In no uncertain terms, it is amazing!

The Werner telescoping ladder (TS1250) extends up to 12-1/2 feet for up to 16ft of reach.

When closed, it’s 35” long.

ANSI rated to IA (300 lbs).

Easy to use, compact to store and transport, built incredibly sturdy.

In use do far, it felt remarkably secure.

I trust Werner ladders to be safe, and it seems they cut no corners here.

I typically donate most product samples, but I’m keeping this one. It’s superb.
