We’re excited to share this unique case study featured in TileLetter, highlighting Texas contractor J&R Tile and their recent 15,000 sq. ft. tile renovation at Santikos Entertainment Silverado Theater in San Antonio.

To help tackle this project’s unique installation challenges, TEC partnered with the J&R team to develop the system-warrantied installation plan. Owner Erin Albrecht worked closely with National Technical Manager Heather Ruhl and Digital Technical Manager Chris Kain to identify the right products for the renovation.

TEC team members Mike Dingler, Bob Fininis, Greg Goodman, Josh Sesvold, and Mark Tupek hosted a TEC-Certified Gauged Porcelain Panel Training event at HomeChoice in Knoxville, TN.

With the class limited to 15 installers, local pros showed up ready to learn and get hands-on with the team. A big thank you to HomeChoice for hosting and supporting the event, and especially to the installers who participated.

Dirk Sullivan, owner of Hawthorne Tile in Portland, OR, recently teamed up with a local teacher and a group of kindergarten students, plus some second and third-grade helpers, for a hands-on mosaic project.

After connecting with Chris Kain at Coverings, Dirk selected TEC Pure-Color RTU Grout for the mosaic project, with lasting results.

With help from Dirk, his son, and Stas, a local teacher and part-time artisan with Hawthorne Tile, the team grouted the kindergartners’ beautiful mosaic creations.
