In nature, color is a chorus of wavelengths. Early painters knew this, which is why many of them did not use black in their work. Black absorbs the light, which can make paint look gray or muddy as daylight shifts. We take a different path:
- We don't use black pigment, this keeps undertones open, so color doesn’t “die” at dusk.
- We use multiple colorants to widen the reflected spectrum hues causing richer tones as daylight shifts from warm to cool.
- We finely grind pigments to scatter light more evenly for depth and a soft, natural glow.

The Result? Paint color that behaves more like what your eyes see outdoors: alive, dimensional, and dynamic.
