Every spring, one of our favorite traditions returns to Salsbury’s: the arrival of seedlings 🌿

Grown just down the road by our dear neighbors at Triple Chick Farm, these seedlings are strong, healthy, and raised with the kind of care and attention that only comes from people who are deeply connected to the land. Year after year, they help gardeners across MDI grow thriving vegetable gardens, flower beds, and summer harvests.

We’re incredibly grateful to work alongside local farms like Triple Chick. This is what a thriving local economy looks like: neighbors supporting neighbors, businesses supporting one another, and our community growing stronger together. 🌱💛

Earth Day was a blast for this little one 🌎

Here’s a throwback to little miss Skyla learning about birds and making some homemade bird feeders. She made sure her little hummingbird stuffy from us was part of the fun as well!

A fun little project for the little ones 🙌
All you need is an old toilet paper roll, peanut butter or honey, and birdseed (we have all sorts to choose from here 😉)

This would be a fun kids project for spring!

Join us on April 24th from 8 AM to 12 PM for a special Arbor Day gathering at Salsbury’s 🌳

We’re excited to host Fred Mason, Co-owner of (Mountain Wren Tree Garden), who will be sharing his knowledge and leading conversations around:
🌲 forest health
✂️ pruning techniques (with demos)
🌱 tree care and long-term maintenance

This is more than just an informational event. It’s a chance to learn, connect, and deepen our relationship with the trees and landscapes that surround us every day.

Events like this are what build a stronger, more connected community. When we come together to share knowledge and care for the land, we create something that lasts far beyond a single day.
