Here's a question that comes a lot this time of year.
"Should I cover my AC unit for winter?"
Yes you should BUT do not fully cover it.
This will keep debris like leaves and sticks from accumulating inside the unit. It will also keep snow and ice from accumulating directly on the fan motor.
A fully covered unit is a great place for mice to hide and will also accumulate moisture and lead to excess corrosion. Your unit is designed to withstand these harsh Michigan winters. 😎

Lesson from today's inspection 😎
It's a safety hazard I have to write up far to often. These garage door sensors are designed to stop the door from closing should a person, pet, or child should pass underneath while the door is closing. BUT if not mounted at the base of the door it totally defeats the purpose. It's a safety hazard I will write up every time to keep your family safe.
