🇺🇸 2026 USA Clay Target League National Championship Recap 🇺🇸
🥉 3rd Place Team in the Nation
Yesterday, most of us made it home from an unforgettable week at the USA Clay Target League National Championship. As we unpack, sort through thousands of photos, and finally catch our breath, it's hard not to reflect on everything this team accomplished together.
A scoresheet will always tell you where you finished. It will never tell the story of how you got there.
This week was about much more than a podium finish—it was about the people who made it possible.
Over the past several days, our athletes competed against the best shooters in the country, created memories that will last a lifetime, and once again showed everyone what it means to wear Beaver River across their chest.
After qualifying 71st out of more than 230 teams, our Championship Team of Ethan Clemons, Jameson Davoy, Kylee Grau, Konor Moore, Lucas Wilmot, Jonas Largett, and Carter Eaton came together when it mattered most. They trusted one another, competed with confidence, and put together an incredible performance to finish as the 3rd Place Team in the Nation.
This year's finish was especially meaningful because it marked the third time in the last four National Championships that Beaver River has stood on the national podium. For a small rural school, that level of consistency is something everyone associated with this program should be incredibly proud of.
What an unbelievable accomplishment for these seven athletes and our entire program!
Individually, Beaver River had five athletes qualify for the Individual Championship, placing them among the top 400 shooters out of nearly 1,800 competitors. This is how they finished after competing in the Championship:
🏅 Jameson Davoy – 180th Overall
🏅 Lucas Wilmot – 261st Overall
🏅 Konor Moore – 284th Overall
🏅 Kylee Grau – 361st Overall (33rd Overall Female)
🏅 Ethan Clemons – 378th Overall
Congratulations to these five athletes on an incredible accomplishment!
One moment that perfectly captured the character of this team came during the Individual Finals. Ethan Clemons experienced every shooter's nightmare when his sh***un malfunctioned during competition. Without hesitation, one of his teammates handed him another sh***un. Ethan gathered himself, trusted his preparation, and finished his final round with an impressive 24 using someone else's gun.
That moment perfectly embodied what this program is all about.
One Team. One Dream.
While seven athletes competed in the Team Championship, this achievement belongs to every athlete who made the trip to Nationals.
Congratulations to:

Each of you represented Beaver River with humility, sportsmanship, and pride. Whether you were on the line competing, cheering on a teammate, or celebrating someone else's success, you helped make this week unforgettable.
As proud as we are of the trophies and accomplishments, this week was about so much more than scores.
It was about teammates celebrating one another's success.
It was about younger athletes standing in front of the team to thank their parents and coaches.
It was about friendships that will last a lifetime.
It was about representing our school, our community, and each other with pride.
And for four athletes, it marked the end of an unforgettable chapter.
Jonas Largett, Kylee Grau, Ethan Clemons, and Konor Moore—thank you.
Thank you for your leadership.
Thank you for your dedication.
Thank you for setting the standard for those who will follow in your footsteps.
Each of you has left your mark on this program in your own way. Whether it was leading by example, pushing your teammates to be better, or representing Beaver River on the national stage, your legacy will be felt for years to come.
Kylee, thank you for being a trailblazer for the young women in our program. Your leadership, determination, and team-first mentality have inspired so many younger athletes, and your impact reaches far beyond your scores.
There couldn't have been a more fitting way for the four of you to finish your high school careers than standing together on the national podium.
To Our Coaches...
Thank you.
Every one of our coaches volunteers countless evenings, weekends, and even vacation time because they believe in these kids. They spend hours at practices, traveling to competitions, mentoring athletes, and doing the behind-the-scenes work that so few people ever see. They ask for nothing in return except the opportunity to help these young men and women grow.
The success of this program is a direct reflection of your dedication, and we are incredibly grateful for everything you do.
There is one coach we would also like to recognize who wasn't able to make the trip to Nationals.
Coach Travis Kuhl may not have been in Michigan with us, but he was still part of our team every single day.
Each morning before competition, Travis sent the team an inspirational video reminding our athletes to stay focused, trust their preparation, compete for one another, and keep everything in perspective. He closed every message with a prayer for our team before they stepped onto the line.
Those videos became part of our daily routine throughout the week and served as a reminder that even from hundreds of miles away, our Beaver River family was standing beside us.
Thank you, Travis, for pouring your heart into this program and for finding a way to be with our team when you couldn't be there in person. Your encouragement, faith, and unwavering support meant more than you know.
To Our Families, Volunteers & Community...
Thank you.
To our parents, families, volunteers, sponsors, donors, and the entire Beaver River community—thank you.
Every fundraiser, every raffle ticket purchased, every can donated, every business sponsorship, every mile traveled, and every word of encouragement helped make this journey possible.
Eleven years ago, this program started with a dream.
Today, because of the dedication of our athletes, coaches, families, volunteers, sponsors, and community, the Beaver River Trap Team stood among the very best teams in the country.
That podium wasn't built in one weekend.
It was built over eleven years by every athlete who wore the jersey, every coach who volunteered their time, every parent who made the sacrifices, every sponsor who believed in our mission, and every supporter who stood behind this program.
This accomplishment belongs to all of you.
We were also fortunate to have one of our own coaches—a former National Champion—capturing the week through his camera lens. Over the next several days, we'll be sharing many more photos and memories from an unforgettable National Championship.
To everyone who followed our journey this week, liked a post, left a comment, sent a message, or simply cheered us on from home—thank you. Your support reminded these athletes that an entire community was behind them every step of the way.
Thank you for believing in our athletes.
Thank you for believing in this program.
As this season comes to a close, one thing has never changed.
One Team. One Dream.
Thank you to everyone who helped make that dream a reality this season.
Until next season...
Take it one target at a time. 💚🧡👊
