Our team doesn’t just move lumber. They move fast.

On October 4th, a group of PFP runners hit the Fall Foot Races in Bend.

In the half marathon, in a field of 169, Max Anders placed 4th overall, and Hunter Juarez finished 44th in his first-ever race!

So proud of everyone who laced up.

Lunch break, Bend Oregon style. Our team trades desks for trails whenever we can — a midday ride is just how we recharge around here.

One thing you'll learn quickly about our team: we love to bike. Living and working in the Bend Oregon means world-class trails, beautiful mountain views, and endless opportunities to get outside, so whether it's a quick spin after lunch or an all-day weekend adventure, you'll usually find someone here choosing two wheels over a chair.

From intern to Trader Trainee!

We're excited to welcome Max Anders back to Plateau Forest Products. After interning with us last summer and recently graduating from the University of Oregon with a degree in Business Administration, Max is officially joining the team full-time.

Max's hard work, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn made a lasting impression during his internship, and we're thrilled to see what he'll accomplish in this next chapter. When he's not on the trading floor, you'll find him training for his next marathon or out on the soccer field — he brings the same drive to the pitch and the pavement as he does to his work.

Welcome back to the team, Max!

Please join us in welcoming Bryson Smith to Plateau Forest Products as our newest Trader Trainee!

Bryson recently earned his bachelor's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from Ole Miss, with concentrations in entrepreneurship, marketing, and education.

Beyond the classroom, Bryson is an accomplished Division I Track & Field athlete specializing in the weight throw and hammer throw. He's a 2026 Indoor and 2025 Outdoor All-American, as well as a two-time First Team All-Mountain West selection. That dedication, discipline, and competitive drive is exactly what we know will serve him well.

We're excited to have Bryson on the team and look forward to seeing the impact he'll make. Welcome to Plateau, Bryson!

Strong teams are built on more than just the work we do every day.

Our annual company picnic gave us the chance to slow down, connect with coworkers and their families, and enjoy some friendly games together.

It's become an amazing tradition for our employees — time set aside just to celebrate each other and everything we've accomplished together.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make it memorable.

Wrapping up our internship program, our interns; Alex Martin, Hank Brundage, Ryan Mitchell and Mats Hegstrom, took the stage this week for their final presentations — bringing together everything they learned, experienced, and built over the summer.

They presented their findings and analysis to a group of traders, showing off a real understanding of the lumber industry along with sharpened analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

We're proud of the effort, curiosity, and drive this group brought to the table all summer. Thank you for everything you contributed — we can't wait to see where you go next!

Family Night at the Ballpark! ⚾

Our Plateau team traded lumber tallies for scorecards this week, bringing employees and their families out to cheer on the Bend Elks - Gena Stadium! Great food, great weather, and even better company — nothing beats watching a game with the people who make our work (and our lives) so much fun.

Thanks to everyone who came out, and go Elks!

Last week, our interns headed to Portland for two days at FCTG Headquarters for an Intern Social — an inside look at commodity trading and life in a high-level professional environment.

Between networking with company leaders and building relationships with fellow interns, the trip was all about learning, growing, and making real connections. Our interns walked away with sharper professional skills, industry insight, and a firsthand feel for what makes FCTG's culture stand out.

Curiosity, engagement, and confidence were on full display — we can't wait to see where these future professionals go next.

Rooftop views, cold drinks, and a surprising amount of pickleball talent — our team had a blast at last night. Great food, better company, and the kind of friendly competition that brings a team closer together.
