Keeping schools safe isn’t about checking a box. It’s about making sure the fundamentals are done right.
The Partner Alliance for Safer Schools (PASS) has released an updated, digital School Safety and Security Checklist to help K–12 schools take a clear look at where they stand. The checklist is built around PASS’s layered approach to school security and helps schools assess real-world conditions, from campus entry points to classroom doors to digital systems, so critical details are not missed.
PASS guidelines are widely recognized as a standard for thoughtful, effective school security. Aligning to these guidelines gives districts a practical roadmap for prioritizing improvements, planning next steps, and creating safer learning environments for students and staff.
At Corbin Russwin, we support PASS because safer schools start with informed decisions, proven standards, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
