At Silvaris, we move A LOT of plywood, and here's the question plywood buyers often ask us: should I get Industrial or Premier?
The answer depends on what the panel has to do:
🦺 Industrial Grade is sorted for function. Sheets may show delamination, broken edges or blows, which doesn't matter when the wood is going to be a cushion block for pile driving, a pallet top or a crate. Heavy civil contractors and crating shops buy it for exactly that reason.
💄 Premier Grade is sorted for appearance. Every sheet has four good corners, four good edges and one good face, which makes it a natural fit for retailers with DIY customers, along with pallet builders and logistics operations that want a cleaner panel.
Note: both grades are for nonstructural use only. The comparison below breaks down which one fits your business.
