Faced with the prospect of being treeless this holiday season do to freight issues, we connected with Megan and Randy who own Whispering Pines Tree Farm.

They had trees for us! But no way to get them to Boulder…

Thankfully, Jay has been looking for an excuse to see the sights in Wisconsin and he jumped at the opportunity to take a 3am bus and a plane from Denver; then it was all hands on deck to unload them upon arrival to the store.

These trees have been on quite a journey and starting tomorrow, they’ll be ready to find loving homes to kick off the holiday season.

Happy Friday TMH friends. We are looking at chicks arriving mid-February (weather permitting) and are taking pre-order requests at the store starting today. We bring in our standard breeds that are good layers, hardy for the Colorado weather, and also hens that are are on friendly, docile side.
* Black Australorp
*Buff Orpington
* Americana
*Barred Rock
* Silver Laced Wyandotte
*Speckled Sussex
In most cases we can add other breeds to our order if available at the hatchery. Check in with us and we will see what we can do!!

So the time is getting close for the chicks to arrive!!!! With the craziness of the egg supply in our stores, we are getting a lot of inquiries from people who either want to expand their flock, or get started having their own backyard chickens. We will get our first order mid February! More details to come!!!

Chickens are relatively easy animals to raise, whether you have a small farm or just plan on raising your own fresh eggs. While adult chickens are easy birds to keep, baby chicks can be a little more high maintenance with a higher mortality rate while they’re still growing.

Dear TMH Customers:

This year presented a unique opportunity with the Christmas Holiday being on a Saturday, to offer staff an extra day off by being closed on Sunday the 26th.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but after nearly two years of serving the neighborhood under the cloud of COVID, we hope you understand this decision.

We will re-open on Monday, December 27th for regular store hours, and look forward to seeing you.
