After 80 years in business the time has come for Brazoria Lumber Yard to close. This decision has been a hard one to make for a number of reasons. First, 80 years is a long time for a family business to stay in operation. Being the third generation owner this is my 20th year as owner. Secondly, the current market is not favorable to a small independent business as we are. Third, it is time to retire from the day to day business world and enjoy time with my Susan and our grand daughters. I realize that we have been around for customers for a long time and this is going to be a big shock for most of them. I have appreciated all of you as customers for as long as I have been operating the store. I will miss getting to visit with the public and helping everyonfe with their projects around the house. Over the next few months we will start the process of closing down the store and selling off the inventory that is in store. Start looking for updates on what is going on. The plan is have the final closing in October of this year. As I have said this has been a difficult choice to make but it is time for all good things to end. Feel free to call or come by and visit about anything or to find out more details. Again thanks for supporting us as a family business in our local community.
