Some stories stay with you forever and this is one of them. ❤️
This beautiful soul, Kim, came into Luv Homes with her soon-to-be husband looking for their very first home together. They told me they weren’t looking for anything fancy… just a simple two bedroom, two bath home to call their own.
What made this moment so special was her story.
Not long ago, Kim was homeless. She didn’t have a place to rest her head or a roof for her son to call home. Through the grace of God and an outreach program at their church, her life began to change. That’s where she met her future husband, a man with the sweetest deep Cajun accent who looks at her like she hung the moon… he just holds the ladder for her to get there. ❤️
And the beautiful part? Kim didn’t just receive help, she’s became part of the hope! She went from being in the outreach program to becoming a leader in it, helping give other homeless individuals and families a second chance too. She graciously gave me permission to share her story because she hopes it inspires someone else not to give up.
While showing them homes, Kim shared that another place they had visited treated them rudely. Honestly, I cannot imagine not being grateful for the chance to help such a kind, humble, fun-loving couple. Spending the day with them was truly the highlight of mine.
Last week, I got to deliver their home. 🏡 And somewhere along the way, I also received one of the sweetest honors, an invitation to their wedding.
From homeless to homeowner.
From surviving to thriving.
From needing hope to becoming hope for others.
THIS is why I love what I do! They’re more than a customer number to me. They are the WHY!
