Beaver Dam Farm was a family owned and operated working dairy farm from 1927 until 2019. Raising and milking approximately 120 holsteins twice a day, seven days a week. In 2019 the dairy herd was sold and the farm switched to beef cattle. We raise our own crops for cattle feeding including hay, soy beans, straw, corn, sorghum, and millet. We also have hay and straw for sale. In the summer of 2015

the farm planted sunflowers to see how they would grow. After harvested, they were bagged for birdseed. You can find our seeds at the following locations; Best Place Antique Store, Ikenberry Orchards and Northwest Hardware Stores. In 2016 we held our first annual sunflower festival. We offer two back to back weekends of over 600,000 sunflowers, handmade crafters, food vendors, live music and events throughout the week! We have become the first and largest sunflower festival and vendor show on the East coast. All photos posted here by us are subject to copyright.

Mountain Thyme Honey & Gifts, LLC is a woman-owned business rooted in beautiful Southwest Botetourt County, Virginia. What began as a love for beekeeping quickly grew into a passion for sharing the goodness of the hive with others. Today, we produce not only the finest local honey, but also one-of-a-kind healing and wellness products made from beeswax, propolis, and other natural treasures from our hives.

Owner Sarah Melendy has called Botetourt home for more than eight years. During that time, she has served on local boards and committees, built relationships with fellow farmers and makers, and poured her heart into creating products that nurture both body and soul. Each jar, balm, and bottle is crafted with care with thoughtfully sourced ingredients.

You can find our products online at our website, in select local farm stores, and—most sweet of all—at our self-serve farm stand, the Sweet Spot, right here on our property. Open daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Sweet Spot is stocked with honey, handmade goods, and seasonal surprises.

At Mountain Thyme Honey & Gifts, our mission is simple: to share the beauty, bounty, and healing power of the hive with our community and beyond.

Thank you Botetourt Family YMCA!

Our mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

Our impact is felt every day…when an individual makes a healthy choice…when a mentor inspires a child…and when members of our community come together for the common good.
The YMCA of Virginia's Blue Ridge acknowledges and embraces that Christian principles are a significant piece of our organizational mission. When defining what Christian principles mean to us as an organization we chose the ultimate Christian principle, LOVE. (I Corinthians 13:13)

As an organization, we chose to apply that principle as we carry out the rest of our mission. We chose to put love into practice through our holistic programming and we choose to love “all”. This means people of all races, genders, and belief systems.
