Don’t judge the stain while it’s wet!

A stain can look much darker and richer when it’s wet than it will once it has fully dried. If you’re choosing a stain color, test it on a scrap of the same type of wood you’ll actually be staining and let it dry completely before making your final decision.

That way, you’re choosing the color you’ll actually end up with, not the color you see five minutes after applying it.

Hot take: Accent walls aren’t dead...👀🎨

They just need a little more thought than picking one random wall and calling it a day.
