My mailbox is full of emails from everyone from Spirit Airlines to Target to on and on and on... with notification of their plans for dealing with the COVID-19.

So now it is time to share my plans for Freehling Lumber:

It is my intention to run this company as a phone-in business for the duration of the virus outbreak. Our doors will be locked, but we will be here. We will fill your orders by phone, place your purchases on the front porch, and will take payment by credit card via phone. In the case of lumber, we will put your order outside for pickup.

I think we are still a few days away from instituting this policy, but I want you to be aware of my plan.

Our phone number is 724-352-9425. You can text us at 724-234-7890. We will keep our normal business hours for the time being. If I change that, you will be the first to know.

Finally, for those who see this as an overreaction, I would like to share with you that I am 65 yrs. old and have asthma. While I am prepared to take a hit to my business, I AM NOT prepared to lose my life. No amount business or money is worth that to me.

I will continue to keep you posted. This will not be easy for any of us, but we will do our very best to help you in any way we can.
