We wanted to get on here to remind our customers that our Carlinville location is CLOSED!! We have had a handful of customers thinking they were still picking up in Carlinville. The Carlinville store phone number has been forwarded to our Springfield store and all orders will be made there!!

We have began moving inventory out of our store today - tomorrow we will be loading the rest as well as our tint machines and shakers.
If you need any last minute paint made please call us TODAY!
Our hours will be limited the rest of the week - any orders left after tomorrow will be sent to Springfield for pickup there!!

We will be open regular hours for the rest of this week.
Our Carlinville location will be closed this Saturday, March 8th.
We will resume regular hours on Monday to start our last week open - please expect hours to change towards the end of next week as we begin moving all of our product.

FAQ: Will you still have my history saved of the products I’ve purchased?

The answer is yes! We will still have all of the history from the Carlinville store in our systems in Springfield!

It is with great sadness that we announce the dissolution of our Carlinville location back into our Springfield headquarters. While this decision did not come lightly, we feel that it is in the best interest of the Don Smith Paint company. We believe that this change will allow us to focus on aspects in the company that allow for more successful growth in the future and to provide our customers with the best possible service that we can. This being said, we would love to continue to service as many of the Carlinville customers that we can, so please reach out to see how we can help you!
Our last day open in Carlinville will be Friday, March 14th. We ask for kindness and grace as we make this transition, and we want to thank Carlinville and surrounding communities for your support these last 3 years. Katie will be heading up to work out of the Springfield store, so make sure to pop in and visit her!

The 2025 Macoupin County Fair concert is announced!! 🎶

The Macoupin County Fair is excited to announce its grandstand concert, which will take place on June 5th in Carlinville, Illinois!

The renowned country music band Diamond Rio will perform! This celebrated group has captivated audiences worldwide with over 6.8 million albums sold, 20 Top 10 singles, and more than 1.05 billion streams to their name. Joining them will be Easton Corbin, a talented artist who has been enchanting fans for over a decade with his rich baritone and distinctive blend of traditional and contemporary country sounds.

Tickets for entry, armbands, and grandstand events will be available on the fair website (www.macoupincountyfair.org) starting at 8 AM on February 28, 2025.

Our manager, Katie, had brought in some plant propagations to sell to help raise money for our donation box for the Carlinville Dog Park. Well, we had a customer that wanted to join in and help us out!

We want to send a huge thank you to Sue McGartland for donating some plant props to help raise money as well!!

🪴3 of Sue’s goldfish plant propagations - 2 in each cup - these will be on a donation basis for our donation box!
