It starts today! The weekend we've all been waiting for! The 9th Sarah James Fulcher Red Fish Tournament! The weathers beautiful so packages your bags, load your boat up and come on down and enjoy our little slice of heaven. Stop in to get your boating supplies, beach supplies, cold beverages, snacks, groceries and gas! We have it all! Hope everyone has a fun-filled weekend making memories, seeing old friends, and listening to the great band lineup playing. We wish you good luck catching the biggest drum!!

Good news! You can now pump gas! The outside pump is still out of commission but the inside pump works! Hopefully by the end of the week they both will be working.⛽️

A slight glitch in fixing the gas pumps. Repairman is coming back tomorrow with additional parts. Sorry....we have gas, just can't pump it. Fingers crossed tomorrow!!

During a thunder/lightening storm this afternoon, our gas pumps quit working after a lightening strike. The technician will be here tomorrow and should be fixed by early afternoon. Thanks!

We extend our gratitude to all individuals especially who participated in mullet fishing yesterday and assisted with weighing, cleaning, and preparing the mullets for today's dinner. This was Anna and Kyle Brown's vision 7 years ago as a great idea for a fundraiser to support our cementaries, and it has become an annual event. At the Cedar Island Fire Department there will be a mullet dinner this evening at 5 pm, featuring fried and smoked mullets. Attendees are kindly requested to bring a side dish if desired. Although the dinner is complimentary, a donation jar will be available for those who wish to contribute. This event serves as our annual cemetery fundraiser, supporting the maintenance of Cedar Island's cemeteries. Following the dinner, volunteers are welcome to stay and assist with cleanup efforts. Individuals who have ordered t-shirts can collect them at Island's Choice. Once again, we appreciate your participation in this fundraising initiative.

Get ready for our highly anticipated annual Mullet Tournament and Cemetery Fundraiser this weekend. If you plan to participate in the fishing, gather at the dock across from the Cemetery at 9am on Friday. Saturday evening 5pm at Cedar Island Fire Dept. we invite you to join us for the Mullet Dinner. Your participation is welcome, and if you'd like to contribute a side dish or dessert, it would be greatly appreciated. We are selling tickets for the Lewis Brothers shrimp dinner fundraiser, scheduled to take place on Friday, June 5th. Tickets are available for purchase at Island's Choice at a cost of $20. Meal plates can be collected at Smyrna Pentecostal Church or delivered to our store. All funds raised will support the repair of their trawler following a recent devastating fire.
