We’re excited to introduce the latest addition to our instructor cadre, Ronald Payne! He’s got a knack for restoring old hand tools and creating hand tool joinery, and we’re excited for him to share that knowledge in the classroom as he joins Wayne and Colby as one of our Hand Tool instructors! REFURBISHING HAND PLANES
Description: Take this class to learn how to refurbish hand planes! Students are invited to bring an old bench plane or block plane to work on throughout the class. Topics covered include: flattening soles, removing rust, and sharpening plane irons. This is a great class to learn how to get the most out of your hand planes, so sign up today!

HANDCUT DOVETAILS
Description: Handcut dovetails are a hallmark of fine furniture, and there’s few things as rewarding as mastering this joinery and making a perfectly fitted dovetail! In this class, students will receive expert guidance as they learn the process of cutting through and half-blind dovetails, and in addition to their practice pieces, they’ll leave with two nifty jigs that they can use at home as they continue developing their skills!

HAND TOOL 201: JAPANESE TOOL BOX
Description: This class is for students who’ve completed our Hand Tool 101 class and want to spend two days developing their hand-cut joinery skills! During the class, students will use a variety of planes, chisels, and saws as they create dado, rabbet, and wedged mortise-and-tenon joinery while building a traditional Japanese toolbox. Students will leave with greater confidence in their hand tool skills and a beautiful - and functional - box. Sign up today for this new class!
