“Increasingly, wood from sustainably managed forests is viewed as the most responsible building choice—for a number of reasons. It is the only major building material that is renewable and sustainable. Wood grows naturally by harnessing energy from the sun, absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen.

Life cycle assessments (LCAs) show wood requires less energy from resource extraction, manufacturing, distribution, use and end-of-life disposal, and is responsible for far less greenhouse gas emissions than other building materials such as glass, steel or concrete.”
