I recently got asked to speak on an upcoming podcast… and it made me take a step back and think about the journey. I was only given 1 question that they will ask and the rest will be off the cuff.

I didn’t start at the top.

I started as a welder—hands on, learning the trade, putting in the hours when nobody was watching. Before that, the Army shaped me. It taught me discipline, grit, and how to keep moving forward when things get uncomfortable.

From there, I worked my way into construction engineering—learning the business side, understanding how everything comes together behind the scenes. This came by the grace of God putting me in the right spot to succeed and better myself! The long nights and days of college before or after working a 12 hour shift as a welder seemed like it would never pay off.

Now I’m leading the charge as President & CEO of our company 12:eleven Fabrication.

But none of that came easy, as it shouldn’t!

There have been some serious highs… and some real lows. The kind that test your mindset, your faith in yourself, and whether you’re really built for it.

And to be clear—this isn’t about bragging or looking for any kind of praise. It’s self reflection based from being asked 1 question.

If anything, I just hope this reaches one person who needs a reminder… that it’s POSSIBLE!! That the path might not be easy, and it won’t be perfect—but it’s yours to TAKE!

Because at some point, you’ve got to make the decision to bet on yourself and go all in.

That’s what defines you.

Not when things are going good—but when everything is stacked against you and you choose to keep pushing forward anyway.

Hard work pays off. But only if you stay in the fight.

The grind doesn’t stop—it just changes.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned through all of it…

Bet on yourself… EVERY SINGLE TIME!!

Nobody is coming to build your empire for you.

There are moments in business where you pause—not to slow down—but to truly feel the weight of what’s happening around you.

The shop is full. The work is real. Steel is moving, sparks are flying, shipments are leaving. And behind every piece that goes out the door is sacrifice most people will never see—early mornings, late nights, pressure, responsibility, and faith when the path wasn’t always clear.

This season didn’t come from luck. It came from choosing grit over comfort. From everyone showing up tired but committed. From customers placing trust in us when trust matters most.

We’re blessed with work, but we never forget the responsibility that comes with it. Every job represents someone counting on us. Every shipment carries our name, our integrity, and our reputation with it.

We stay humble. We stay hungry. And we keep pushing forward with purpose.

If you’re in a season where the load feels heavy—keep going. Sometimes the weight is proof you’re carrying something meaningful.

Grateful beyond words. Back to work.

Grateful is the word that keeps coming to mind today.

The dream and creation of 12:eleven Fabrication has never been easy…oilfield is never easy! This September will mark 9 years in business!

The shop has been full, the forklifts haven’t stopped moving, and trucks keep rolling out with finished work headed to customers who trust us to deliver. Recent shipments going out the door are a direct result of long hours, tight timelines, and a team that refuses to cut corners.

We’re blessed with an abundance of work right now—but abundance doesn’t happen by accident. It comes from showing up every day, staying disciplined, and doing the hard things when no one is watching. It comes from a crew that takes pride in their craft and a group of customers who believe in what we’re building.

We’re hustling. We’re growing. And we’re staying humble through it all.

Thankful for the workload, thankful for the team in the shop, and thankful for the opportunity to keep earning trust one project at a time.

Today is not just another day.

We remember the early mornings, the long nights, the grit and discipline that shaped us.
We remember the brothers and sisters we stood beside — some who made it home and some who didn’t.
We remember the sacrifices that don’t always show up in headlines:
• Birthdays missed
• Holidays away
• Sleepless nights after we return
• The quiet battles that continue long after service ends

Being a Veteran is not something you “used to be.”
It’s something that lives in you every day.

At 12:eleven Fabrication, we recognize and value the leadership, resilience, accountability, and courage that veterans bring to the workforce. These aren’t just traits — they are forged in moments most will never see. And we’re committed to honoring that, not just today, but every day.
