John Blaine Adams of Columbia Winnelson becomes a Hero.
John, who goes by Blaine, was first on scene of an accident that closed east bound I-70 near the Lamine river. Blaine removed an 8 year old boy (photo withheld for privacy) who was crying and scared from the back seat of the F-350 before fire and rescue arrived. Blaine carried the child, barefoot and cold, to his personal pickup truck and wrapped him up in a Milwaukee jacket. The child's mother was removed from the wrecked truck shortly after with injuries to her lower leg. The child had some minor cuts but was otherwise fine and remained calm after Blaine rescued him. Missouri Highway Patrol, the child's mother and rescue personnel were extremely grateful for Blaines assistance before their arrival.
