The 2027 Truckman Program

This intense 100+ hour course will consist of the following developmental stages:

* First Section: students will attend two days of in-person lectures to include; Building construction and ladder company operations.

* Second Section: After two days of lecture, students will attend two days of hands on skills. This introduction to skills development will help students learn, understand, and develop their knowledge and skill set for the webinar and HOT section. This section will take place at a training academy involving live fire. Skills will include Forcible Entry, Search, Ladders, and ventilation.

* Third Section: Approximately every three weeks, students will attend a virtual presentation from multiple nationally known ladder company personnel.

* Fourth Section: After each virtual presentation, students will have assignments on case studies, apparatus reviews, and command simulations to build upon an investment of not only skill based knowledge, but how to apply ladder company (support work) strategy and tactics within your organization.

* Fifth Section: 40+ hour (5 day) hands-on Ladder academy at multiple acquired buildings. This week will build upon the previous sections and will solidify a solid base work of ladder operations.

Every student that registers and completes all sections of the program will receive:
🔥The TRUCKMAN patch. A numbered patch given to only those to show the time, effort, passion, and skills for truck work.
🔥 The TRUCKMAN TAB. A numbered rocker tab that can be placed on your FD gear or job shirt, showing the completion of the program.
🔥 A color printed Ladder Company Operations Manual book.
🔥 An invitation to assist in future TRUCKMAN courses.
🔥 Council TD-30 Halligan Bar

Misfit Mafia stopped by to document some of our Calumet City Forcible Entry Physics class last weekend, and was generous in covering one our student’s tuition in a raffle on day 2. Give them a follow, they’re doing good things in the Chicago area.
