Don started in the Steel business in 1971 right out of high school, working for Armco Steel in Houston, Texas. During his 11 years at Armco, Don learned the rebar business and the importance of mastering

all aspects of the process. Returning to his hometown of Austin, Texas in 1982, Don went to work for Austin Construction Steel where he gained more experience and knowledge of the Austin market. In 1991, Don left work one day with plans to do something else for a living, but that didn't last long. Customers and friends came to Don's house and told him they needed him "back in the business", and that's how Reinforcing Steel Supply (RSS) got started! With some employees having over 20 years of service, Don continues to run RSS based on good customers, good employees, and good business! Our General Manager: Becky Freeman
