The agricultural biologicals market is projected to approach $19 billion. The number of products are growing faster than the data to support them.

For retailers, that creates a problem: how do you differentiate a product that will perform from one that won't?

Here's the framework we'd suggest:

1. Field data over lab data. Greenhouse results don't predict field performance. Look for replicated trials across multiple environments, multiple years, and variable conditions.

2. Compatibility documentation. A biological that can't be clearly demonstrated to work alongside standard chemistry and existing seed treatments creates agronomic and operational risk. Demand the compatibility matrix.

3. Shelf stability. Live microbial products have shelf life constraints that affect inventory management. Understand what you're working with before you stock it.

4. Mechanism of action clarity. If the rep can't explain how the product works at a biological level, that's a signal.

5. Ease of use at application. If it creates extra steps at the treater or planter, grower adoption will be limited regardless of performance.

8 bushels an acre, same field, same conditions. Only difference was Charge™ biological seed treatment on the seed.

We're several months into the 2026 growing season and Charge™ is in the ground across corn and soybean trial sites in multiple geographies.

Early observations are consistent with what we saw in trial data: improved stand uniformity and stronger early root establishment in treated vs. untreated comparisons, particularly in fields with variable soil organic matter and lower native microbial activity.

We're intentionally running trials across a range of conditions this year — including fields where growers have stacked Charge™ alongside live biological products — to continue building the complementary performance data set.
