These Kawneer Husky’s were sent to us yesterday. This has to be one of the best packaging jobs I’ve seen in quite awhile. The measurements of the box were so precise it left no room for the bodies to clank together or shift. Also, notice to the left, they created a nice cubby for their PO to ride. Bravo!

This happened 6 years ago, but is still funny.

Pictured is a pair of automatic doors at the shop. I was there by myself, ALONE, after we had closed. These doors decided to suddenly open, seemingly by themselves—right before my eyes. I was so freaked out and terrified I wanted to run the other way and get the heck outta there! Only by the slimmest chance did I spy motion above the doors near the lights; a wasp! The wasp had become trapped inside and had triggered the motion sensor on the doors! I laughed so hard at myself!

Two rebuilt Rixson H28 closers going to a customer in the Birmingham Metro area.

Someone in the past shortened the spindle on the right—don’t do that! Even so, it will still serve its purpose.

Rest assured, our rebuilt closers are backed by a one year warranty.

Something this small when broken makes a Rixson 40 floor closer an expensive brick.

Fully reassembled. Optimal function. Once the Permatex dries it will head off to be painted a nice dark bronze.

Fully disassembled and washed. Next comes the buffing and reassembly.

At this point of the process I can change a few things about the unit. Depending on the spindle chosen this can become a Rixson 27 or 28. I can also add a mechanism to make this unit hold open when fully engaged. I can also select the degree of opening by my spindle choice.

This will become a Rixson 27 90* LH NHO.
