The body is designed and waiting to be cut and routed.

3 piece poplar body.

Poplar was chosen to hope to keep the weight down. With the Bigsby bridge and acrylic that will be incorporated in this guitar it will already weigh quite a lot.

🚨🚨🚨Got a deposit for a new custom! I love when I get to use my art to it's fullest.

Tentatively knows as Project "Green Apple" will be by far the biggest test of my skills. It will also will be a show piece unlike anything DarkSide Guitars has ever created.

I can tell you it will be a flying V and it will have 3 mini buckers in it. Stay tuned for the rest!

This killer Ibanez Iceman was in the shop. Change her from passive to active. Put in signature series JH EMG pickups.

Cleaned up the whole thing.
Neck adjustment was needed and a fresh set of strings and some moisture on the dried up fretboard.
Had several feet issues that I had to get taken care of.

First mock up of this Jackson rebuild. It hadnt been played int probs 15 years or more, full of rust and moisture.

What we did so far:
Fixed body damage
Painted matte black
Hipshot tuners
New Floyd rose bridge.
Rebuilt Duncan Designs neck pickup
Seymour Duncan dimbucker bridge pickup
All new electronics with vintage wiring

Super excited about this rebuild. It's a personal one for me. This old ML was in rough shape but nothing a little fire can't fix. First pic is a mock-up of what will be.

As this is for me it will be one pickup (it will be a Seymour Duncan dimbucker) single volume with a kill switch in place of the selector switch would have been.

All black and or slightly burned hardware. Just gotta think of a fun name for this beast and what I wanna do for the logo as it's not a DarkSide guitar technically.

Standard DarkSide setup includes; checking fret level, changing strings, checking and fixing intonation, conditioning the fretboard, checking all electronics for any ground issues, tightening all loose screws and such.

Doing the final mock-up of the "Road Warrior" project.

Tech and specks to come. This is obviously a DarkSide rebuild it was once a Fender Texas style tele.

It has however, been shot several times I told it split and put back together with acrylic. You can see the bullet still inside the body. Definitely a one of a kind guitar.

I'm super happy with the look and I can't wait for this to get a new owner.
