We lost a true Elliott’s Legend last week -- Mr. Fred E. Held, 90, of Westlake, TX. Fred dedicated 31 years of his career to our company before his retirement as president in 1992. This mid-1980s photo of Fred (the tall one) and Mr. Elliott (the short one) was taken around the time we opened the "big store" on Maple Ave. They look like they were having so much fun.

Fred was a talented leader, team builder and a "hardware man" through and through; his influence on our culture remains evident today. During his tenure, he and Mr. E led the company through a period of tremendous growth and success. We are forever grateful for Fred's decades of service, and the lasting impact he left on the Elliott's Hardware family.
