The difference between a burnished edge on the left and a raw edge on the right.

• Raw edges absorb more moisture and are prone to rot, shortening the life of the leather.

• Burnished edges are sealed and protected from moisture, which prolongs the life of the leather. Another option is edge paint and is only available to Legacy clients.
