From deconstruction to installation, this project brought together design, craftsmanship, and a shared commitment to doing things differently. Each piece of vintage maple was carefully processed and placed—transforming reclaimed material into something intentional and cohesive.

Not everything needs to be replaced—some things are worth carrying forward.

Our team handled the deconstruction of the original maple flooring from HopCat in Midtown Detroit, a space designed by McIntosh Poris Architects ( ). Instead of sending that material to waste, we preserved it—recognizing the value in its history, character, and craftsmanship.

Now, that same wood begins a new chapter—reclaimed, reimagined, and ready to be used again.

From warehouse stack ➡️ finished space.

These reclaimed antique 2x12s came to us with a past—and left as something entirely new. We milled them down into custom baseboards for a brick loft remodel, and honestly… we were just as curious as anyone to see how they’d land in the space.

Turns out? Really, really beautifully✨

There’s something about giving old wood a second life that just works—especially when it still carries its texture, age, and story with it.
