Ed is back with the WTS-1 & the FOD-2000, to show how efficient cable preparation is critical for fast FTTH deployments.

The WTS-1 is the go-to for removing toner wire and webbing from flat drop cables. It requires zero adjustments and features a fully enclosed blade for maximum technician safety.

But for jacket access, the FOD-2000 is the industry standard. It slits both sides of the drop cable simultaneously, providing clean access to fiber or strength members without damaging the internal buffer tube.

Both tools are designed to reduce prep time and ensure consistent results in the field.

Slits toner wire and webbing from flat drop cables.
Works with standard FTTx toneable flat drop cables (Corning SST™, Commscope, Prysmian, Superior Essex).
Fully enclosed blade design prevents accidental nicks.
No adjustments required; cuts in both push and pull directions

FOD-2000 Fiber Optic Drop Cable Slitter

Slits flat drop cable jackets at mid-span or end sections.
Simultaneously slits both sides of the jacket to access fibers/strength members.
Separates jacket and strength members without damaging the buffer tube.

Last week, we had the opportunity to celebrate the grand opening of our new headquarters and officially mark the next chapter for the company.
