PROPANE FILLING RULES:

Hi everyone! If you have been to the stores in the last few days to get your tanks filled, I’m sure you have had to wait in a pretty long line. We understand how frustrating it can be to wait in this line and then find out your tank does not meet the requirements to be filled. Here are the rules that all Sloan’s stores adhere to when it comes to filling propane tanks. Know before you go!

1. Tanks cannot be older than 12 years old. (Your tank should have a date stamped on it)
2. Tanks must have in-tact collar and valve components
3. Tanks cannot have excessive rust or dents
4. Tanks cannot have excessive spray paint covering the tank or the date stamp
5. 100lb tanks must be loaded standing up
6. You can have up to 6 tanks in an enclosed vehicle
