Position: Machine Operator- Small Diameter Log Saws
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned or requested.
• Ability to operate a machine and Produce parts within production tolerances and to production standards.
• Performs work and moves from task to task with little supervision.
Blueprint Reading
Must be able to read and interpret drawings for dimensions to produce parts within the allowed tolerance to adherence with the quality and engineering requirements.
• Ability to read process, procedure, and instruction manuals.
Math/Measuring
Demonstrate ability to Count, Add, Subtract fractions and decimals.
• Read a Tape Measure to 1/16" increments.
Follow all Safety Procedures and Rules.
Ability to Follow Directions
• Understand and Apply instructions and /or priorities required during the manufacturing operation
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing; Mechanical background a plus.
· High level of accuracy Math/Measuring; Demonstrate ability to Count, Add, subtract fractions and decimals; Read a Tape Measure to 1/16” increments.
· Proficient in reading blueprints.
· Have working knowledge of codes & standards such as ASME, DOT, API, OSHA, and AWS inspection procedures.
