Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Wednesday, June 17 at 7:30 a.m. coming to you from the Pier.

Surf at the Pier is knee to maybe thigh high its looking pretty weak overall with winds on it a bit from the SSW.

Winds are forecasted to be WSW 15-20mph today.

We have a high tide at 10:41 a.m. . Low tide will be at 4:35 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.0 ft at 8 seconds from the SE.

Surf is still pretty lackluster around Folly knee to maybe thigh high but that’s a stretch. High pressure sits offshore and minor trade-swell traces knee high or so for the remainder of the work week. Tropics are showing some life in the western Gulf at the moment. This is the system I was mentioning on Monday to keep an eye on. Latest model runs have it pulling more north inland into Texas and killing all its favorable energy for wave production before the remnants arrive to the low country. Looking like a flat spell has begun with some summer log sessions to keep you busy.

Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Monday, June 15 at 7:30 a.m. coming to your from the Pier.

We have a really cool event Today at 3 P.m. with the Catch surf Team! A folly Pier sesh to follow towards late afternoon. Swing by the shop at 3 and hang.

Surf at the Pier is knee to maybe thigh high its picked up slightly since the previous few days. Still nothing to great.

Winds are south at 5 knots. Expect south to south-west winds at 10-15 knots today, and semi-choppy, small surf all day.

We have a high tide at 7:08 a.m. . Low tide will be at 2:43 p.m. The next high tide will be at 9:11 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 5.6 ft at 5 seconds from the SW. Paired with 0.7ft at 9 seconds from the SE

Surf has picked up ever so slightly thanks to a weak front that passed over the marine area and a modest high pressure sitting in the eastern Atlantic. Surf should generally stay about the same knee high maybe some thigh sets on higher tides this week with light onshore winds. Towards the late work week early weekend were watching a system that could maybe get the surf going over the weekend ahead. We will keep our eyes on it.

It’s 82* with sunshine mixed with clouds. Conditions continue with a high of 89*. There is a chance for a thunderstorm this afternoon with a high heat index around 98*.

Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, June 14 at 7:30 a.m. coming to your from the beautiful and very hot Folly Beach Pier.

We have a really cool event coming to our parking lot and into the shop Monday afternoon. The Catch Surf Crew will be here around 3 p.m. and are planning on having a pier session with us late in the day. Pro riders Ben Gravy, Blair Conklin, Kalani Robb, Tyler Stanalnd, Shea Porter and Beefs TV will be here in their 50-foot RV to stamp your Catch Surf softie and hang with the Ocean crew. We hope everyone will come on by and hang out with us, and we have lots of pro board models in stock if you want to have one autographed. See you there.

Surf at the Pier is ankle to knee high near flat and weak. Winds are onshore not looking very good today.

Winds are south at 5 knots. Expect south to south-west winds at 10-15 knots today, and semi-choppy, small surf all day.

We have a high tide at report time. Low tide will be at 1:48 p.m. The next high tide will be at 8:13 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.0 feet at 8 seconds in a medium period - and very small - east, south-east swell.

Surf is looking small this weekend, but look for short period south-west wind swell to pick up some Monday as a cold front approaches for mid-week and localized south-west winds keep things side-shore, choppy and a little drifty. But something a little bigger to ride to start the week.

Your NOAA Marine Weather Forecast for our Marine area calls for: “Subtropical high pressure will remain the primary influence across the local waters through the weekend. A cold front is expected to move through by the middle of next week.”

Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Friday, June 12th at 6:45 a.m.

Surf at the Pier knee high with some light onshore winds. Not much juice but a few out there on the logs making something out of nothing.

Winds today forecasted south 10-15mph

We just came off a high tide. Have a high low tide at 11:51 a.m. high tide is at 6:18 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is reading 1.0ft at 9 seconds from the ESE.

Surf looking pretty weak at the moment knee high slappers arriving to the shorelines of Folly. Weak high pressure sits to our north-east not enough to get anything going. This trend generally stays consistent for the next few days. Unsettled weather arrives to the low-country early next week with stronger high pressure well offshore could wake up the surf a little bit. Expecting thigh high surf to build early work week with onshore winds. Pretty lack luster surf forecast ahead.
