Ocean Surf shop is more than just a store that sells a lot of surf gear. It’s owned and operated by surfers, for surfers. We hate to date ourselves, but combined we have well over a century of surfing experience among our owners and staff. Of course, this means we gladly offer friendly, unassuming advice regarding any and all aspects of board-riding. Good morning, this is Luke Da KOOK with your Ocean Surf Shop Surf Report and Forecast for Sunday, November 1 at 8:00 a.m.

Surf at the Pier is waist to chest high. Little wind on it and drift from the NE, the faces on the other hand looking pretty clean. Overall worth a look and sesh.

Winds are North north-east 15-25mph Should become more NE later.

We have a high tide at 1:04 p.m. and a low tide at 7:26

The Edisto buoy shows 8.2 feet at 7 seconds from the ENE.

Surf has been great in the low-country. Surf is still showing waist to chest high surf. Strong high pressure to our north keeps ENE wind-swell in the cards for the days ahead waist to belly high surf should continue with not ideal winds. Mid-week next week a front looks to move to our north and wind and swell should pick up slightly more and become more favorable from the south. Also a modest low pressure looks to form off the SE coastline mid-week. Lots of surf currently and in the coming days ahead. Plan accordingly

Good morning, this is Luke Da KOOK with your Ocean Surf Shop Surf Report and Forecast for Saturday, October 31 at 9:00 a.m.

Surf looks waist to belly high may get a little bigger with the tide push. Wind is on it a bit side-offshore. Overall looks decent. Great run of swell we have had. Lots of characters out there surfing.

Winds are North north-east 10-15mph Should become more NE later.

We have a high tide at 12:58 p.m. and a low tide at 7:26

The Edisto buoy shows 3.3 feet at 9 seconds from the East-Southeast.

Surf has been great in the low-country. Surf is still showing waist to belly+ surf. Strong high pressure to our north keeps ENE wind-swell in the cards for the days ahead waist to belly high surf should continue with not ideal winds. Mid-week next week a front looks to move to our north and wind and swell should pick up slightly more and become more favorable from the south. Plenty of swell in the forecast.

Good morning! This is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Thursday , Oct 29th at 8:15 a.m.

Waves look fun, running around stomach high with some bigger sets. Pretty much the same as the past few days with the high tide. Go get on it

Winds are 14 mph out of the north/northeast and gusty. Winds stay pretty consistent out of the north throughout the day with a little more east in it as the day progresses.

High tide will be 10:55 a.m. Low tide is 5:12 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is showing a wind swell of 5.2ft @ 9.1 seconds out of the east.

We continue to see surf today as it starts to back down a little bit over the next couple of days and then picks back up at the beginning of the week. Will the northeast winds ever stop? Nobody knows for sure.

Our NOAA friends say: “Strong high pressure will extend across the waters through the remainder of the week and into the weekend. A weak coastal trough could develop by early next week.”

Water temperature is 74*.

It is 64* and partly cloudy. Looking for sunny skies to passing clouds with a high of 74* and northeast winds

Good morning, this is Eazy-E with your Ocean Surf Shop Surf Report and Forecast for Wednesday, October 28 at 7:40 a.m.
Surf looks big and drifty. It’s around Stomach to chest high with a few sneaker rogue waves that look beefy. Get the rubber and short board and send it! Don’t even check it, just go.
Winds are North-East at 10-15 knots.
The first high tide is at 10 a.m., and low tide will be at 4:19 p.m. The next high tide will be at 10:21 p.m. With a super high tide right now the washout is looking super full and having trouble on the inside due to excess water.
The Edisto buoy shows 6.9 feet at 8 seconds from the East-Southeast.
Our pals at NOAA predict, “Strong high pressure will extend across the waters through the week”. Let’s cross our fingers and pray we get some clean surfing out of it and maybe a touch less wind!

Good morning, this is Bates and O.G. longboard king Chad H. with your Ocean Surf Shop Surf Report and Forecast for Tuesday, October 27 at 8:30 a.m.
Surf looks pretty fun. It’s around waist high with an occasional chest high set on the outside.
Winds are north/north-west at 15 knots.
There is lots of water under it at this morning’s high tide, so it might get better for an hour-or-two after low tide.
The first high tide is at 9 a.m., and low tide will be at 3:26 p.m. The next high tide will be at 9:25 p.m.
Still some easterly swell out there and there should be some waves of varying quality for your Tuesday.
The Edisto buoy shows 6 feet at 6 seconds and is starting to show some south-east in the swell, so hopefully we get more surf.
Our NOAA Marine Weather Forecast calls for: “Strong high pressure will extend across the waters through the week. Dangerous marine conditions will continue through early week with gale-force winds and hazardous seas.”

Simple Folly Beach surf forecast: We should have waist to chest high surf from and east/north-east swell all week, and through the weekend. It’ll be drifty with north/northeast winds in the forecast through Sunday. It’ll be good to start next week as swell shifts more on-shore, but I’d bet it’s going to lay down some in the middle/latter part of next week.

Good morning, this is Bates with your Ocean Surf Shop Surf Report and Forecast for Monday, October 10 at 8:30 a.m. This is the last week to surf your evenings away as time change to fall back an hour go into effect Saturday at midnight.
Surf looks pretty fun – if not a little soft – this morning on the leeward side of the pier. Waves are aound stomach to Chest high with a bigger set now and then. Might be a good day to send it. There are some long lefts, and likely as the tide goes out, it’ll get a little more punch.
There is plenty of water pushing down the beach with north winds at 15 knots. This should clock northeast this afternoon with winds at 15 to 20 knots with a higher gust.
We just came off a high tide. Low tide will be at 2:37 p.m. The next high tide will be at 8:38 p.m.
There is a large Easterly swell with the Edisto NOAA Buoy reading 11 feet at 9 seconds, so there should be waves all day, just keep an eye out for the wind.

With low pressure lingering to our south and high pressure over the beach, look for beautiful fall weather and plenty of surf – with varying quality. Be prepared to paddle up the surf line, as current will be strong down the beach for the period.

Good morning! This is Chad with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report and forecast for Sunday, Oct 25th at 8:30 a.m.

There is some surf out there right now. Faces are clean and running around chest high in the sets. A lot of water with the high tide so it gets a little soft. Dropping tide could be pretty fun before it drains out.

Winds are 17 mph out of the north/northeast and gusty. Winds stay pretty consistent out of the north throughout the day with a little more east in it as the day progresses.

High tide will be 7:35 a.m. Low tide is 1:53 p.m.

The Edisto Buoy is showing a wind swell of 9.2ft @ 7.7 seconds out of the north/northeast.

Some surf to be had this morning, but really full high tide at time of report. Worth a paddle out for sure. Super drifty so take the pre surf walk or buddy up and park a car down the street. Northeast winds prevail for the next 7 days.

Good morning, this is Eazy-E! with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report for Saturday, October 24th, 2026.
Surf is looking gnarly this morning. Bigger set waves are around the stomach to occasionally bigger with tons of energy and push. The NE winds gusting at 15-20 kt with occasional 25kt burst is for sure making the conditions drifty with tons of texture and overall making the waves a lot harder to navigate and set up for solid rides. There is a lot of swell and power out there though so I would take full advantage and send it while we have some swell and before it gets crazy cold here! Yewwww!
We just came off a high tide. Low tide is at 1:05, with another high tide around 7:12pm.
Edisto Bouy is 10.5 feet at 8 seconds from the ENE.
Our pals at NOAA predict, “Strong high pressure will extend across the waters through early next week”. Thus, let’s pray this calms these winds down a tad and maybe lighten up on the cold temps. But we all know that’s like asking Ole Folly to give us clean and warm head-high barrels for 2 days and no kooks. Yea, ill keep dreaming too. Send it guys!!

Good morning, this is Luke Da Kook! with your Ocean Surf Shop surf report for Friday, October 23, 2026.

Surf is looking knee high maybe slight + here and there overall clean little log wave this morning .

Surfs clean with northerly winds 5-10mph becoming more NE later this afternoon.

We just came off a high tide. Dropping tide as we speak bottoming out at Noon with a high tide around 6:30 pm.

Edisto Bouy is 1.6 feet at 9 seconds from the ESE.

Pleasant fall day surfs pretty down but some clean log waves are out there. Looking ahead into the weekend strong high pressure to our north slides east over the north-east paired with a broad area of low pressure offshore the SE coastline this will generate near gail NE winds on Saturday into Sunday drifty NE wind-swell should build as a result. Look for surf to become more manageable/clean in the earlier part of next work week. Weve got surf coming just be patient for those finer moments towards the end of the swell.
