Looks like we have a storm en route. Obviously, we hope you won't need it, but we do have a limited number of generators in stock.

Powermate 4500w generators, powered by Generac. $574.99, cash-debit-credit card only. One per family, FCFS, no holds. They aren't regular stock, so no returns.

As of this writing, we have 6 in stock. I'll be cross-posting this to Folsom Strong Monday evening, because Village First always - but I will be sharing further on Tuesday evening if we still have some.

As always, if we are hit hard, the store will have the hose out for city water dispensing to help those who are on wells. BYOBucket. :) The bathroom will be available again during regular hours if you are waiting in line for the gas stations, because that must be miserable.

Take care of each other, and look for the helpers. Be one of them as much as you can. And call Melly at 228-224-2281 if you have an urgent hardware need after hours.

A quick but disheartening update -

It will be much colder overnight tonight, and we were counting on our truck arriving today to replenish supplies. However, the warehouse is in Tennessee, and the DOT there shut down the roads yesterday before the trucks could get out.

We still have good supplies of pipe and fittings, etc, but there won't be a restock for a bit. We have done all we can, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience.

Hey, yall! Hard freeze coming! Go ahead and lay in your firewood and check your propane levels ... and get your wrap on! We have faucet covers and pipe wrap still at the end of today, although I hear it's currently thin on the ground in the parish.

Folsom Hardware is closed from Saturday 24th noon until Monday 26th 8am. However, if you have an emergency situation as the thaws begin on Sat and Sunday, you can reach Melly on her cell at 228.224.2281 - we are in the village and available to come try to help with supplies.

Have a safe and happy holiday. We hope you don't find yourself in need of any PVC as Santa swings this nonsense back north with him, but we are here if you do. See you on the flip side!

FEMA is here! Representatives from FEMA are in store this week, January 3 - January 7, to help educate on disaster mitigation, in advance of our next hurricane, etc. You know that it's going to happen - wouldn't you rather be ready and have a plan already?

One truck is in but NOT THE ONE WITH GAS CANS

There are some four prong plugs and some adapters but they have to be found and unpacked before they can be sold.

If there is something you need, you can message me here to see if we got it in, but first priority is going to go to the person standing there who wants it. George is on his own at the store until this afternoon, and all he can do is all he can do. That does not involve putting back anything someone wants us to hold. We can't do it.

I can tell you if we ordered it and if they say they sent it. I cannot tell you if it is unpacked yet or if it is already sold.

Edit: one of those trucks says they will be here first thing tomorrow morning. We currently have electricity, so come on in. I'm about to stop taking customers for the day, but if you need to cool off or use the bathroom I'm still here for a little while trying to get the store put back together.

We are promised TWO trucks of inventory today. I will let ya'll know when (if? please!) we get them. It's then going to take some time to get everything unpacked and available, because it's not all storm needs - it's regular stocking, too.

We will absolutely prioritize the items you need now, pinkie promise.

*I can run credit cards if you need to keep your cash for gas.
*I have a hose hooked up outside free for your use - help yourself.
*I have an operational restroom. Pick up a lantern at the counter and head toward the light in the back right hand corner of the second room.
*I'm leaving the light switch on in the front room of the store. If you pass by at night and see it shining - call me at 228-224-2281 and we will come sit in the air conditioning together. :) If you pass during the day and the two front doors are closed, come on in and we will sit in the air conditioning together. I don't care if you bring a chair and a puzzle. I'll bring in a folding table and we will soak it up.

In closing, I'm hot as hell and miserable and also would not rather do this with any other community on this planet. Folsom is amazing. Thank you for being good people.
