Panels on wainscoting don’t always need to be the same size! The larger panels were used for a couple of nice paintings, and the smaller panels helped give some extra detail. We almost always try to line up the horizontal rails with panels on the doors, or other close by features in the home.

We did a lot of these double doors, for home office conversions after the pandemic. Each one is modified to fit in its own unique way. For this one, not only did we stick with the arch top door, but we made some recessed panels to fill in the large jamb (which double as the door stops)!
