At CAG, we’re not just building products. We’re helping build the next generation of craftsmen.

This week, Dylan has been working on reinforcing the door frame along with the sides on one of our dump trailers, including the section that supports the ramps used to load the bobcat. Under Josh’s guidance, he’s learning the process of fabrication, repair, and stick welding through real-world experience.

Dylan is only 20 years old and lives right across the road from us. He has a goal of becoming a welder and fabricator, and projects like this give him the opportunity to develop skills that can’t always be learned from a textbook.

As a family business, we believe strong communities are built when experienced craftsmen take the time to teach those coming behind them. Watching Dylan’s welding improve throughout this project has been rewarding, and we’re excited to see where those skills take him next.

The future of skilled trades depends on investing in people, and we’re proud to be a small part of that journey.

Morning! Here’s post one. We made it happen with the fishing video and picture.

Not every day is spent in the shop.

Sometimes it’s spent on the water with good friends, making memories and helping a turtle that found itself in a little trouble. 🐢

When we opened this white oak burl, we found evidence of fire deep inside.

The truth is, we’ll never know exactly what happened. Maybe lightning. Maybe a brush fire. Maybe something else entirely.

What we do know is that the tree survived long enough to keep growing and preserve that story within its grain.

Now it’s getting a second life.

Watch as we transform this remarkable piece into something worth talking about.
