As I sat in my blind this hunting season, I was blessed with my granddaughter Bridget's Denise Ehlers-Richards company and admiring the forest that I have watched grow over the past 40 years. When I harvest lumber, I do it with respect and appreciation for the ecosystem involved, and when I harvest venison, it is with same appreciation. It's difficult to compare prices without understanding the difference in products. "Engineered wood" or laminate is easier to install and less expensive upfront, but doesn't age with grace or have the longevity that natural wood does. And here's the kicker- shopping traditional commercial chains, laminate is about 1/2 the cost of hardwood, but shopping local with Ehlers Enterprises , you can get the real deal hardwood for about the same cost as laminate!!
