Public Notice:
Due to worsening drought conditions and increased wildfire risk, the Baker County burn ban is back in effect as of today.
Although the burn ban was lifted two weeks ago, current conditions have deteriorated, making outdoor burning unsafe at this time. All outdoor burning is now prohibited, including yard debris burning, fire pits, and fireworks.
Baker County officials, Baker County Fire Rescue, and the Florida Forest Service will continue to monitor conditions closely and will provide updates as conditions improve.
Residents are asked to follow all burn ban restrictions until further notice. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work together to protect our community.

The Florida Legislature passed the favorably today, which aims to strengthen protections for working farmland and the operations that keep our nation’s food supply strong. The bill will now be considered by the Governor.
