Y’all might have noticed a decrease in my post over the last few weeks this is because I decided to make a career change and make Little River Metalworks a side business/hobby again.

This last year has been exciting and eye opening learning about running small business and what is really important in life. I have had the opportunity to work more closely with my family and learn about the challenges they are facing. Those conversations lead to accepting a position as the Facilities Manager at Casey Nursery working along side my Dad and Brother.

Years ago I would have said you were crazy if you told me I would have ended up here but God has a strange way of opening doors and creating opportunities. I’m excited about this new journey and look forward to learning some new skills and applying my knowledge of production improvement/mechanization and productivity to the nursery industry.

I am going to continue to operate LRMW as I did in years past, on the side. I will have flexibility with the new position to support you as best I can. Please be patient as we all figure this new schedule and workload out.

It’s been a wild yet blessed year!

God works in some interesting ways.

I lost my job on Friday quite by surprise. I’m not mad. I’m not upset. I’m actually at peace. Here’s why...a few weeks ago I was struggling to balance a professional career, Little River on the side and most importantly my family. I was in a dark place. I prayed harder than I have ever prayed. I asked God for guidance and for an opportunity to grow and that’s how I’m choosing to see the current situation.

I look forward to growing as a business owner and as a child of God. I look forward to the opportunity to solve problems for people in all types of industries and to continue creating custom signage and fire pits.

Most of the time simple is best. These brackets are a great example. They used to keep large potting container plate material from blowing over.

Tipped over plant material on a nursery is very costly. It takes labor to stand them back up. Plants can become damaged or burned. Soil and fertilizer get wasted. Irrigation can be damaged as well.

This system doesn’t require any lifting to install or remove the plants and the hold downs are self adjusting on the pole.

We can size to fit over rebar or t-post and can supply them with or without the post. Two hold downs are required per plant.
